Offering my readers the chance to help with and be featured in Signal Fire (possible prize included?):

I know it’s been awhile since I have posted about fanfiction and I’m not even sure how many people who read my work still follow me. But if you’re out there, I’d like to ask you to take some time to lend me a hand.

It has been nearly 3 years since I have published Signal Fire to FF. The response from you guys has been more than I could ask for - and more than I ever dreamed. The story was originally intended to be nothing more than a oneshot. It started out with a few reviews asking me to continue then grew into an entire novel with nearly 800 responses. I am honored to have such wonderful readers. And so now I am requesting your help.

For about a year now, I have been considering rewriting the entire story. I attempted a few months ago - but I didn’t feel as though I was taking the right approach. I know that Signal Fire has touched as many people as much as it has touched me, and it didn’t feel right to rewrite it without input.

So what I am asking for is a group of betas. I’m looking for anyone who is willing to do a reread of the entire story and send me edits - whether they be structural, grammatical, characterizational, or plotional! …I wasn’t sure how to add ‘al’ to those last two. Here are a few things I am looking for - 

• Grammar edits. Sea a tipo? Let me know!
• Structural edits. That sentence just sometime make lack of sense. If there is a sentence that should REALLY be reworded, tell me about it.
• Character edits. What do you mean Remy is dressed in a frilly pink dress, accepting Taub’s hand in marriage? Sometimes I get a little lot out of character. If you see something a character wouldn’t say or do, point it out.
• Plot edits. That scene bored me to tears. Why didn’t you do THIS? Is there a scene that I should have taken out or what that I should have put in? What did/didn’t you want to see in SF?
• Chapter Titles. I started editing my chapters and included titles and quotes, but it just didn’t feel right. What do you think each chapter should be named (quotes optional)?
• Image. FF is now allowing an image for each story. I have no photoshop talent whatsoever. But I’m more than willing to feature your photo!

So, now, you’re asking what you get for your hard work. Well, the be honest, I do not have a lot to offer. But here are some things that I can do!

• Your name will be featured in the very first chapter of my story - whether I use your edits or not.
• I will feature your fanfictions, tumblr, whatever in a post on my Tumblr.
• I will review one of your fanfics (of your choice), if you have any.
• I will send a small prize to the person who helps me the most. It will be either House, Olivia Wilde, or Jennifer Morrison related. I will also include an awesome thank you letter and my soul.
